The most important decision you make is who you marry!

 

Ok ok maybe this vlog is not about making a decision who you will marry but it striked curiosity 🙂  By the way I am no expert in relationships hence I am single 100% however it’s not who you marry but what you marry 🙂  I’m posting a video on a segment of an online presentation I attended for Entrepreneurs and must say  practically flipped! Network Marketing is soo much bigger on a grander scale this is why I love learning. I enjoy learning how others live in other parts of the world. One of my dreams have been to become a travel trekkie, shoot photos, eat food, interview people and come home and blog it. Pretty much a travel blogger. Want to know a secret? Shhhh… It’s possible! With technology advancing as the years go by and traveling at light speed we are able to do this.

Anyhow less of me more of this video. What impressed me about this lady from India is that 1) she is a single mother 2)She had an open mind 3)She has determination 4)She is changing her country and lives

I’ve heard many million dollar leaders say their goal is to pay 1 million dollars in taxes. Well, this lady just proved it. She is the #1 lady in her country paying this amount of money in her country and as she quotes she is helping her country as well. I started to think and say what if she was not open to the opportunity. Where would she be? Would she have settled for any man to take care of her and her kids? It’s pretty rough in other parts of the world and many times have no choice but to sell their kids for money or food. This lady decided to take a leap of faith and now has built an empire. She is the perfect example from the pit hole to the palace! And all because someone introduced her to Network Marketing.

One of the most important decisions “Padma” did was marry her career.  When I say marry I’m not saying avoid family, friends etc… no not at all I am saying she made a choice to give it her all.  She committed to something bigger than herself.  It’s her entrepreneur spirit that shows in everything she does. Her self-confidence and independence is clearly to see as she speaks worldwide and empowers women especially in her country to be self sufficient and confident.  Sometimes we have no choice but to just do and I don’t think this lady knew the impact it created until it made not ripple but oceans. Now I see why she named her team “Ocean team”.  She must of created this name prior to building her large organization so this tells me she had the vision.

My final thoughts on this vlog is that if it’s possible in another country where there is more poverty than in the U.S. (minus the wealthy region in India) then, it’s definitely possible here we live. This is just one example. Some other females that are having success in Network Marketing are from Mexico, Malaysia & Kenya.  The word “mindset” is simply a 1)set  2) mind  once we are set in our minds in who we want to become, what we want to achieve and where we want to go then there is no telling where we land. It’s time to conquer the world as us ladies have soo much potential. Time to let go of what’s not possible and think of what is possible and this is why I love self development and glad every company has it in place well at least the majority of them.  And I end with this quote that was mentioned by a male entrepreneur  in the women’s empowerment presentation

If your looking for a sign this is it!

  I’ve been meaning to write up a blog that can empower women. Minorities in specific as this is the group that is left out in the dark and not much exposure is given. Recently, I read in “La Opinion” Negocios (Business Section) about this subject and inspired me to share my thoughts of what is really going on…. The title of the article was “Ladies who want to move up” Prior to reading the article I thought it was going to be about women moving up in their business and boy was I wrong! I was glad to read it as it shed some light and this was the sign I was looking for! Well, I knew in my gut already that the path layed out  in Entrepreneurship is the correct one but now the vision is loud and clear. The article mentioned that Latinas who work with male latinos are not given equal treatment as their counter parts because they are women. The pay rate is much lower and there is no law to protect their hours. In one case an employer deducted 240 hours for time taken to care for newborn baby the 1st year and each dollar counts according to “xyz” lady.

President Barack Obama ran over a decree memorandum to force federal contractors to pay equal salaries, emphasizing latinas. These workers are looking for laws that would help them against unfair labor with men. At the part time job I hold it’s a blessing whether men or women we get equal pay. If it wasn’t so, then I would of been long gone however I’m taking the steps necessary to exit this job to pursue my business venture full-time. There is nothing more freeing that working from home and loving what you do. Do it because your passionate not because of the money. Money is just an exchange of services. It ebs and flows. This has been happening for years and I have always said to myself why is it that men get paid more money than women? Women are just as hard workers as men.

Disclaimer: This blog is not written to bash men but to empower women so if any men are reading this blog know that it is what it is and just sharing my thoughts and statistics.

I’ve read that women can be less confident than men when asking for salary raises and well men can be men. Does testostorone have to do with it? Must we appear bad &*%  to prove we can handle more responsibility and equal pay? Women are known for building relationships, great communication, organization and planning skills, analyzing, mentoring, teamwork, problem solvers and dedicated. Must they remain quiet and just work for a paycheck? I noticed 2 ladies they wrote about in the article are single mothers and as it is being a single mom is no piece of cake as what I can imagine. One lady in particular works only till 2:00 p.am. because she needs to take care of her 9 year old son that is handicapped. She works as a paralegal and mentioned being a mother has affected her to advance in her job. She travels everyday from Santa Ana, CA to her job in Lynwood, CA. (29.5 miles) Every single dayyyyy!

Not only is the traveling not worth the pay but the latino men she works with place a lot of obstacles so she can move up the ladder. They are intimidated and fear by these latinas to move up. It’s definitely a doggy dog’s world out there! She quotes “They don’t understand that we came here to this country to work, and that we are all the same. It’s not the boss that puts obstacles she quotes it’s the male workers.  If we want to move up we can she quotes! I Love this Latina! She is just one example of many that were quoted, another one wants to go to school to become a nurse while she works as a cafeteria worker. And another latina wants to learn english and run her own business. I’m already proud of these ladies for having dreams and not quitting no matter who or what throws obstacles their way. Achievers!

With automation and new technology on the rise the next 10 years look promising and sunny for Entrepreneurs. Student loans are at an all time high and some classes are available if you have cash. Read a disturbing article that mentioned if you don’t have money for a selected class or elective you need, then you will have to wait. Is this what the future looks like? Greed? One positive thing  I can say  about this article is that one must not limit themselves but have options. Keep dreaming. A couple of years ago a business opportunity appeared through a friend that I have to say was a blessing in disguise. It opened me up to a whole new way of thinking, left a toxic relationship and gave me endless possibilities. I even had to say Why didn’t anyone tell me this existed?! (Geeeez!) Well, at least it found me and I’m greatful! 🙂 I don’t want to hear those same words coming out of someone else mouth so I am going to share share share when the time arrives. (On countdown status)

As a ENTP myself I had to agree with Salma Hayek’s choice in men.  Confidence is an attractive trait to have and if a man has it then he can conquer the world! – Me 🙂  Not, because Salma is Latina but we can be firecrackers HA! (it’s a blessing and not)

I took the Ennegram tests before however seen a post on facebook regarding talents we are born with and what makes us unique. The Myers Briggs Personality tests were mentioned and decided to take the test. Am I surprised? No.  It’s very accurate.  I do consider myself a “visionary” and love the fact that it goes in depth on what it means to be a visionary. I tend to dream of Eagles and see them everywhere near where I live. Been meaning to create a blog on animals and nature. Coming up soon! 🙂

Just as there are positive traits there are negatives. My thoughts are focused on positive traits first and then read on negative ones.  We are not here to be perfect but to simply accept ourselves just as we are. God designed us this way and wouldn’t want it any other way.  Self acceptance comes easy when your confident in knowing what you are called to do. Understand your calling and know growth will come in time. It takes time 🙂

Since, I have been focusing on career lately  I couldn’t be happier to know I am indeed in the right path. ENTP’s career choice is being an Entrepreneur. One of many careers.  I was able to read up on some traits for this personality type. This is what I found.

Spring Cleaning your way to a great year!!

One of my favorite seasons is Spring! It’s not hot or freezing just perfect sunny days when flowers bloom into beautiful colors and animals are visible such as bees, squirrels, butterflies, bunnies etc… I’m a spring baby and perhaps that is one reason I love this season 🙂

This is the perfect moment to plant your seeds. Reminds me of the quote “Bloom where you are planted”  Planting your seeds doesn’t necessarily mean gardening but creating goals, writing them down in paper, getting organized, eliminate what doesn’t work or has reached expiration date. I am at a point in my life where things seem to go very sl-oooow! There is nothing I can do about time that is up to God to decide what needs to speed up and what needs to slow down.

One of the things I do to goal set  is buy blue index cards and write “one thing” I want to accomplish within the next weeks in blue ink and keep it where it’s visible so I can see it everyday.  It sits in my desk and I read it everyday. Blue ink is a creative color and  writing out your goal by hand helps to build the new patterns in your brain you need to achieve your goal. You may want to carry it with you in your purse or wallet and see it every time you open it.

As we clean and dust our closets, bathrooms, fridge, rooms, yard etc…. We have 2 choices we can organize or we can eliminate. I choose to eliminate. Owning less things brings greater clarity and makes room for the new. Sometimes we get attached to things and not to sound like a horder because God help me if that happens but it’s reality that as we accumulate things it’s hard to let go of and once we realize how much stuff we have that is when we need to be real.  I am in the process of getting rid of things in my closet and ready for new things to enter. Will be purchasing windex for the windows, carpet deodorizer I usually buy “gardenia” as it smells beautiful and I like the smell of flowers. There is an old saying in spanish I will throw away the house through the window. Pretty much your saying I will do a 360 in this house.

This is a time when I buy jelly beans and put them in a candy jar and decorate the house with it. Who doesn’t love colorful jelly beans right? This is a season of new beginnings. Get a new haircut, color, new colorful clothes and white as it is a spring color… shoes, treat yourself to a manicure and pedicure, go out  in nature, go hiking, catch some sun, read newsworthy, make fresh squeeze lemonade, plant seeds in your garden, buy house plants as they give oxygen to your home. Do your research however as some plants might be harmful to your pets.

Being that work (1st income) is slow I am beginning to appreciate my mee time and take care to tidy up my space @ home and office and continue learning social networking skills through a study course I just received. It makes me feel productive and enjoy cooking a lot more at home as well and can think outside the box and use my creativity to create cooking videos on youtube. The point is to not just sit and wait for this slow movement to pass but yet to learn to adapt, release and do something new you haven’t tried. Once you know it work will be here in due time! 🙂

Hope everyone has a productive spring cleaning season and clear out for the new to come in. See it as a New Year 2014! Out with the old in with the new!

Dare to Lead…

Hiking this past weekend was an eye opener and what was needed for me to get my batteries charged. I love Nature! 🙂 Took a mini trip to Abalone Cove in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA to spend it near the ocean and meditate in our beauty. To say I didn’t want to leave is an understatement. I simply did not want to leave this place. Good thing I don’t live far from here so I can travel anytime but do realize I need to see other places as well.

It was approximately 2 pm when I started hiking and landed near the beach to write in my journal while the sun kissed my cheeks. Love the sun! It’s soo amazing what nature can do to us. It brighten us, refreshes, nurture and makes us feel alive!

As I seen it getting dark I knew I had to leave the beach and head up towards the hills and paths to exit and was so wrapped up writing that I lost track of time. This picture is the actual path I took and with no flashlight in hand and being an isolated beach… I call it my secret beach I must admit fear got the best of me however I knew God was always with me and being that I was meditating and reading the word feeling his presence I was able to just keep my eye on the path and not look back. No rest whatsoever I just wanted to reach the top and so I did.

I wondered how in the world was I going to make it back up with wide open spaces. Life can be just like a hike some days can’t it? There are times when your soo tired that you can’t imagine how you’ll ever keep going! Your life might feel like that…. your in the middle of the hike, with rocks and holes, mud and branches in your path. It takes focus on your part to just put one foot in front of the other. It wears you down mentally and physically and pushes you to the limit to persevere and endure. If your feeling like that now… HOLD on because God has some great news for you!

If your in the midst of a hike, I encourage you Do not fear as I did! Be strong and keep walking as I did! Eventually you will look up to see God reaching down to pick you up and place you in the palm of his hands. God is our rescuer and our defender. Rest knowing that because who He is the victory is already yours.

This all started as a nature walk in the beach and about halfway into the walk, I began to wonder what in the world was I thinking?! My little walk somehow turned into a hike and now I feel totally alone in the middle of the wilderness. The soles of my feet felt the cement and rocks. I was very uncomfortable but was willing to do anything to see the beautiful beach. The price for freedom!

It was in this moment that God began using this adventure to teach me a powerful truth. Stay on track!

Why continuing self improvement is key to you Success

It’s been quite a week! I haven’t been active writing blogs and missed it as it’s when my creativity thrives 🙂  Stumbled upon this quote and have heard of it before and oh so true!! Been focused in self-improvement and you can’t get more real than this. Are you falling into the same mundane situations? Does everything remain the same? Are you living in your comfort zone? What changes are you applying in your life to prevent from same situations happening? Growth is something we need to pursue as it means we are no longer what we were 10, 20 years ago!

Life is interesting. It challenges us to think outside the box and will tests us along the way. Whenever, I see patterns of same situations I question myself “Have I learned anything?” Why do I attract the same type of guy? Same people? Same career?  Proud to say I am definitely changing and not saying I will not be tested as I move on in life but what I realized is No, I am not attracting the same type of guy, same people or same career. I have many tastes to experience. Think of it like food. Yes I am a foodie 🙂 Raised eating mexican food, american food and as I grew my enjoyment for different delicacies attracted Indian,Chinese,Japanese,Korean etc… I still have to try “escargot”.  Met a woman at a wine festival in Las Vegas a couple years ago and she said I should try it with a dash of lemon. She peeked my interest to say the least 🙂

Self improvement is definitely a game changer in your business! Not only does it make a great impact in your life but in the people you are coaching, leading, inspiring. You are looked upon as a Leader who people trusts. I’ve been blessed to be encountering great people with leadership skills that I look up to. It’s been said to surround yourself with influencers  in order for you to become one.  As a successful Entrepreneur you need to have the ability to be an effective communicator. Are you inspiring high performance? Are you learning to work as a team player? You will work with several different personalities that’s a given… and as you learn new skills you will be seen as someone people want to learn from.

As I focus on the present and where I am headed (visioning it) I also look back at my triumphs, successes, dedication and bring that energy into what I am creating now. There is  no room to think of failures but what I do realize is that if it was not for some past failures I would not of met awesome leaders and  be stronger and educated now. If all you have is success your not growing and personally I am content and say it with confidence that I am in a much better place because of it. I’ve learned what works and what doesn’t. I’ve put my name out there in my community,  stepped out of my comfort zone etc… and it lead to connecting with others.

I will continue to step up my leadership skills, learn a new language, step out of my comfort zone, pursue my dreams and think BIG! It’s our birthright to be great and not be mediocre. Live a life worth living friends 🙂

Like a Magnet, positive attraction is a must in the 21st century!

I was pondering on the things and people we attract in our lives and couldn’t help but to post this great quote from Brian Tracy well known motivational speaker. The mind is very powerful and what we think, we become this is why it’s very important to think positive! I’ve been doing some testing with my mind and I am not going to say it has been easy but actually it’s been quite challenging but what I have concluded is that things are actually happening! I recently won a discount to a trip to Cancun through a raffle and some might say I am lucky. To say I believe in luck is not being truthful as I do not believe we are born with luck or attain it. We often hear people say how lucky you are to land that position you have always wanted, the loving relationship, the money, the trips, your health back etc…. but in reality it all has to do with your mind.

Sometimes you are just in the right place at the right time! Imagine what our lives would be if we would think negative thoughts 24/7! We would be living miserable lives. My life is not perfect nor would I want it to be perfect as it just simply means I am not growing and remaining in a place of comfort however being that said I am an optomist and always looking at the sunny side of life. Yes, life will throw you some curve balls but it’s in those moments that we need to think what can we do to make it better, to make that change, to not be stagnant.  What are you willing to change or eliminate from your life to make movement? It’s easy to say and not easy to do but we must never give up and just try!

Lately, I’ve been running into famous people, opportunities but also have been facing opposition which is pretty much normal. In order to move past that wall or mountain you must climb over it, jump over it…. whatever it takes! Am I doing this? Yes. We must take full responsibility and that includes our thoughts. Ever heard of the phrase fake it till you make it? It’s a controversial quote  as I have used it before and continue to apply it in my life.  Not saying I need to be a fake but rather We must “be it to become it!” It’s impossible to be someone we want to become when our thoughts are not aligned with what we desire. I’ve gotten backlash but, it’s okay (people’s opinions are just that opinions) because if it’s working for me then something is working 🙂

Have you ever questioned yourself “Why am I attracting this type of person”?  I have. People are our mirrors what we see in them we see in ourselves. We attract people in our lives whether good or bad. Once you know what type of people you are attracting then, you can make the adequate changes and clean up your environment, friendships,situations etc…. You must ask for what you want. Most people don’t have much because they simply do not ask. Are you asking for great relationships? Great friends? Great mentors? Pleasurable trips? or are you living simply just as is…. Be careful what you think and how you think. “Be careful what you wish, you just might get it!” Think BIGGER! Play BIGGER! Be BIGGER!

So, what must one do when feeling stuck? no energy? overwhelmed? Overwhelmed is just a word that can be changed. Instead of saying how overwhelmed you feel, how about you change it around and say “I am in demand!”  it even feels better to say it. Your changing the energy and feel of it. This is why affirmations, scriptures, quotes etc…. are soo important to have because they cut through self defeating and limiting beliefs.

Hope this helps anyone reading it and the reason I share this is because I sometimes fall into this trap but what I do is move! I take Action! I workout, run, jog, zumba, step out in nature, listen to music, cook,  read books, take a warm shower, whatever it takes to get moving! 🙂

Top 5 Words to Delete from Your Vocabulary

I used to use the word “Overwhelmed” a lot now I manage not to get this way by stepping out in nature & taking breaks. #Thelifeoftheentrepreneur

Serendipity? Coincidence? The Secret?

Last night I seen the movie “The Secret” for the 1st time! I’ve heard of the movie and the book and knew it was about attracting what you want in life through the law of attraction but I never really paid much attention to it as there are lots of books, seminars, events to read upon or attend. I believe there is a perfect timing for everything and perhaps if I would of seen the movie earlier on I would of applied it to my life but I am now finding out is that it’s pretty much what a lot of authors mentor on.  Joel Osteen speaks a lot about having a positive mind, declaring your intentions out loud and having belief that it will come to pass, Tony Robbins does the same and other amazing speakers. It all ties in to the same principle… staying positive.

Many years ago prior to hearing about vision boards on The Oprah show I had created my own version of a vision board with the intention of it being an inspirational board and pasting cute things I wanted, how I wanted to look, places I wanted to travel etc… but had no idea that’s what a vision board was!  When I seen Oprah talking about it I said OH! That’s what it’s called and even though some things didn’t come true  because I didn’t really see it as a board that would bring me things I thought it was pretty cool to hang it in my room. Now that I know what you can attract and vision things coming to pass through these famous vision boards, dream boards, treasure maps I get excited! 🙂

I read a magazine that said Kanye West and Kim Kardashian create fashion boards and pin the latest fashion shows they will be attending, the latest coutour outfits etc… and she is pretty active on pinterest. I do believe Pinterest is another form of vision boarding even men are into it which is pretty cool! 🙂 Every year I create a board to ring in the new year instead of writing my new year’s resolutions. Not much of a resolution person as I tend to break them right away no matter how hard I try not to.

As I watched “The Secret” there was an Entrepreneur speaking about how he bought the same house he had pinned in his visionboard and would vision himself living in that home. The video I created in this blog was around the end of October 2013 but never uploaded it just stored it in my phone. When I was watching the movie I could not help but to say “What in the world!” As God is my witness the same house, color, structure that he talked about and received is the identical house I had seen in RPV across from The Donald Trump Golf Course that I talked about! Is it purely coincidence?  I do not think so! 😀

The reason this beautiful white house is soo attractive is because of it’s architectural design. Not many homes are built this way. This was indeed a unique home! What I couldn’t believe was how he had attracted his dream home by just visualizing getting it! I do the same when I’m that area. There is something about being in beautiful settings and soaking it in. I really enjoyed the movie. It was very educational and learned a whole lot of attracting what you want through positive mindset and belief. Our minds have over 60,000 thoughts and we must think Positive! 🙂

Recently, I had posted a video on my thoughts of Kombucha and talked about the beginning stages of my journey with this famous elixir drink made from pure Love! I was bummed out when they were pulled off the shelves as I know some avid drinkers were too! I was just rambling on about why it is soo healthy for you and that it shouldn’t of never been pulled out of shelves due to the alcohol content well I don’t know about you but today I found out the original bottles are back! 5% alcohol and that is insane! 5% is not much alcohol content so you wont’ get a buzz if that is what your looking for. It’s meant for health purposes another form of a naked juice, smoothie, jamba juice etc.. and I’m hooked. I’m a very happy customer 🙂  I just couldn’t believe they made a comeback and I know it’s because I’ve been putting my positive thoughts out there. Not saying a famous company seen my video or the FDA but you are being watched on youtube by the world and if it changed someone’s thinking on the benefits of Kombucha to many many people I believe my mission has been accomplished! 🙂

I’ve been pretty much doing “The Secret” in my Life. I have lots of positive affirmations pinned in my home office, read books, podcasts etc… What you visualize you materialized so it’s very important we visualize at our greatest selves. We must tie our mind with out hearts. Feel what it’s like to receive a promotion, an advancement, a healthy life, in a great relationship, etc… It must feel awesome! Well that is pretty much The Secret! Another A-ha moment I received was when people live out of fear, scarcity, greed and not enough it’s when they are lying to themselves. There is indeed more than enough in Love, Joy, Money and Health!

Gong Hey Fat Choi! Happy New Year!

As today marks Chinese New Year I decided to dig up some information on what animal it represents this year.  I don’t know much about it but love to know cultures from other countries. The more we expand our minds the more we learn from others. Unity.

When I found out it was the horse I couldn’t be more excited! Horses are known for movement and freedom! Ever watch horses run at the races? Pretty awesome! They are energetic, intelligent,  fired up yet elegant. Think of their mane, their muscular legs and beautiful eyes.

I love this energy because it’s very optomistic even though I haven’t had much sleep.  In all honesty zero sleep! I said what the heck is happening! I feel like I can run 10 miles right now and will do some jogging down the coast in a couple of hours. I love Nature! 🙂

Not sure if everyone follows the traditions of The Chinese New Year or interested in knowing a little more about what this year brings so I am re-posting what I learned.

Step up and out of any old clutter, stored memories, should-have-dones or regrets.  The time to deal with that is over for now.  Untangle your thoughts quickly and get clear on what it is that you truly desire in this lifetime.  Your trusty steed is here, full of vibrant health and tremendous stamina.  It should be quite a fast ride, so grab a fistful of mane, hang on to the reins, cast your old cares to the wind and let out a whoop of delight–Yeeehaaw! Dear Me: A Letter from your future self…

Recently, I came across reading a blog about knowing thyself through writing your “future self” a love letter. I’ve heard of this exercise before but never tried it because to be honest didn’t have enough time to focus on me. The past years I have been focused on my hustle ie: career, relationships, family etc… and have had little time for myself. Now, that I am focusing on “Laura” and what Laura deserves to be happy and free I believe this is the perfect time to create me a love letter! 🙂

In the blog it was described that every time you write a letter, you discover something different about yourself and others have major breakthroughs. As I go through my journey of Internet Marketing I’m getting to know myself more and more and feeling empowered by the influences I am coming across. I do believe this letter is powerful because you are using your imagination, ideas, creativity and vision something I’m pretty good at but even if you need to be creative just pause, drink water and see what comes up! 🙂

It’s powerful to visualize our future selves as happy, present, self-loving and why shouldn’t we?? It’s our birthright to be HAPPY! =)   So here I go to write my letter as a 75 year old chica!  Chica in spanish is girl. As you can tell I haven’t really grown up and don’t call me senior citizen I am a sophisticated latina that still drinks wine @ the age of  75!   Oh booooy! I see it already!

Hey Unstoppable!

Yes, YOU! Don’t laugh you know you think you have super powers and can change into Tomb raider what’s her name? Ahh, I forgot but let me tell you she is a character she is not you! As I see you trying to do soo many things at once I am wondering from what side of the family did you get soo much energy and don’t tell me it’s all the Kombucha’s your drinking because I won’t believe you and do you really like those drinks or just pretend you do to look cool? I see you buy soo many of them and even have your sister and your brother in law hooked on them! Ok, enough teasing you because I know your getting impatient with me already. It’s like you have to be somewhere else and don’t have time to hear me. I Love You Lauraaa! 🙂

I want to express to you how proud I am to see you grow into a young lady. Who knew a tomboish girl with long hair fighting boys in the neighborhood to defend your brother, riding dirtbikes, being the tetherball queen, (soo competitive!) would turn out be one fine young successful woman. As you have grown I have known your struggles and demands Life has put on you and can’t help but to see you overcome them everytime! You have overcome soo much and wiser because of it. God never gave you anything you were not able to handle dear. Now, that I see what you have become I feel blessed at my age to see your transformation.

I really thought you were going to continue your career in International Trade Import/Export. No it’s not a seinfeld joke! Get it! Import/Export? Don’t look at me weird hahaha! I see you made a major change by running your own business! I’m soo Excited to see it all happening from here! You made that leap that God instilled in you and now your changing people’s lives and coaching them to be a better version of themselves by having a positive mindset. All those classes you took & tools you applied really paid off! Very proud of you! Now your traveling globally to speak.

You know what I admire you the most is that you did it even if people didn’t believe in you or tried to discourage you! You are certainly a rebel! By the way are you one of those rebel chicks in that coaching class you went to? They are rockstar entrepreneurs! Can I see a kung fu kick come on don’t be shy! I know your not shy I am teasing you again! Ok, I will STOP! meanie! Being an Entrepreneur is not a piece of cake, it’s not a job it’s a Lifestyle and I am soo glad you never quit the profession even though you experienced failure. Some will quit but not YOU!

Good Girl! Now, look at you… your traveling everywhere you “wanderlust” and you even traveled on the EVA AIR Hello Kitty Happy Music Jet from Taipei to Seoul! How FUN was that! When you were a teen you couldn’t afford a hello kitty journal and now your traveling on their JET! Way to Go Lauraaaaaa! That’s when you know you made it! Actually I am being modest because I know NOW that you are a Millionaire you have done bigger things such as fund charities, contribute globally and have plans of building your own orphanage! By the way are you still living in Costa Rica or Italy? I love how passionate you are about cooking and how you traveled to Italy just to take a cooking class!The things money can do! 🙂

Well, as I see how much you have lived now and not working hard anymore I am very happy for you and your family. Happy to see you finally whole and complete and not single.  I used to worry because after heartbreaks you became very picky & missed opportunities to date available men! Glad your wall came down and gave LOVE another chance.  You finally met that Entrepreneur Euro faith believing  looking guy you were hoping to meet one day and got married in Paris!  Your a blessed woman! Whatever your doing keep doing it! Keep inspiring! keep coaching! Keep being the philantropist that you are sweetie! May God keep you as the apple of his eye and shadow of his wings and remember marriage is not perfect but since you married your best friend and support one another through prayer and faith God will always be the center of your lives.

4 steps to a Succeeding Path and why it start with the heart.

Heart, Mind, Spirit & Body

One of the best experiences we can gain from running a business or being an Entrepreneur is learning from our mistakes & failures. As C.S. Lewis quotes “Failures are finger posts on the road to Achievement” and as I continue on this journey and move forward to perhaps make more mistakes I couldn’t be more happier than to connect with other Entrepreneurs and inspiring people to learn from. I love to share what I learn as I believe in paying it forward 🙂

There are 4 steps towards making a transition to Success and until I learned this… it’s when I had my A-ha moment!

You have 4 choices that create your reality and here is a list of some options. How you choose them and in what order is of  great importance because it will indeed shape it. There is Heart, Mind, Spirit and Body. Each has a significance in which I will type in detail.

In the past I ran my business based on: Body, Mind, Spirit & Heart.

BODY: is not body but Money $$$. It’s money coming in. Physical needs met. It’s how you make money, where money flows in and out. We work soo much on the body because we want to make as much money to buy those Louboutin heels or that famous purse or that awesome trip, car or house! Nothing wrong with it but as you read on I will explain why this should be last place.

MIND: is something you are good at. Are you good at what you do? Are you getting better @ what you love? (Don’t get good @ something you don’t like) Do you learn from each other? Do you share business ideas? These type of people will help you get leads. If you get stuck you can say “How do you solve this?”  Speak to good friends. Stop doing business with people you don’t want to have them as friends. Friends are like family.

SPIRIT: is what matters to you? Does it matter to the world? Can you share with others that care? Can you turn it into something you care about? Turning hard lessons into contributions. Are you making a creative contribution? Inspirational people will care. Do you want people in your life that help you coach you? How about group team coaching? Events with your teams to connect…. example: bowling alley leagues, networking events, mini trips, adventurous trips, sports events etc…

HEART: Do you love what you do? 80% needs to be things you enjoy  doing. Do something FUN! Be Creative! Do Activity! Do you love music? art? dancing? speaking? writing? blogging? creating videos? encouraging others? Things you simply just LOVE. If money was not an option would you do these things for free?? Follow your passion! Are you following your heart? Break the rules! Blogs are not suppose to be perfect, Be Passionate! Art is not perfect, some of the best art pieces are worth more than gold. Do you love to dance? I dance ZUMBA and I’m passionate about it. It’s my moment to shine with others and pretend I’m Shakira or J-Lo! Do I look silly? Of course! Do I care? Not! 🙂 Find out what you love 🙂 It’s connecting emotional. It’s surrounding yourself with people you love! Share your connection. Dive into more fun. Create a social energy. Be silly! Be crazy! Have fun! 🙂

These are just a couple of traits that I used in my past but what I learned was that I had been chasing the money and not focusing on what I loved! I always heard do what you love and the money will follow but not until this was presented to me in a mindset class is when everything changed for me (Game Changer!) and if your reading this blog hopefully this can help you as well. My only intention in this blog is to share some light, truth and inspiration. If it helps you great if not then continue your journey of the Entrepreneur.

I probably would of saved myself from making mistakes if I known this and why I write how important it is to get coached and have a proper mindset. It’s a small investment that will prevent you from making the same mistakes. Do I regret my errors? Not one bit. I am a much wiser and stronger person because of it & believe it was meant for me to be in this path otherwise I wouldn’t be meeting extraordinary people.

Now with each option described above I will finish this blog in hopes that it makes sense just as it did to  me in class.

In 2014 I Laura Ramos will follow my HEART, my passion, will connect through the heart and surround myself with people I LOVE! When I connect with people I love, my community, charities, cooking, traveling  then the MIND comes in which it’s something I’m getting good at which is writing, blogging, journaling, (sharing knowledge) creating videos, paying it forward, inspiring others, active in social media, networking with other Entrepreneurs, attending social events, brainstorming with people I want to have as part of my family.  SPIRIT then will appear which is sharing a creative contribution with others. Will encourage others to join groups, create a large team coaching group in which we can all input, share ideas and be creative. Me reversed is simply “WE”.  BODY will appear in the form of MONEY!  Let go of attachment and it will be easier to make money! Money follows.  Don’t work soo much on the money, when you follow your Heart, you get good at what you LOVE, Contributions will be made through teams and groups and then the MONEY will follow! Hug! Kiss! Relationships! Celebrate!

And Wa-llaaaaaaaaa! That is my recipe of Success!  A cup of Heart, A dash of Mind, a sprinkle of Spirit and a happy body 🙂

My attitude of Gratitude! :)

Being that these blogs are about Entrepreneurship I’m writing to the newbies in the profession & to those that interest my blogs. Today, my focus was on sprucing up my cute office, re-decorating it, make it as creative as possible. One thing I haven’t done in a while is… go through my filing cabinet and organize. Being that it’s greatful monday (just invented it) I wrote all the things I am “Greatful” for and as I was driving home more ideas and thoughts came to mind. Great ones! 🙂  Always Great! 🙂

I didn’t realize the pay rate for my side job was $34.28 an hour.  In 2014 I will receive an increment of $1.00. Every year it goes higher by  a dollar no matter the economy.  (And that is on a mon-fri week, not saturdays or sundays which is considered over-time all day) Much higher rate on the weekend. I Couldn’t help but to thank God for this job although it’s not as glamorous as it looks it’s a job that many are greatful to have & not as easy to land. You either know someone in this industry or you win the lotto! That’s it. In my case I won the lotto! Random drawing selection process.

Read an interesting article from Latina.com in regards to the drop of unemployment. Here is the link:   http://www.latina.com/news/latino-unemployment-rate-drops.  As I read it I couldn’t help but to think that people are giving up their search for 9-5 job.  I’m going to be candid because that is the reason for my blogs, not to sugar coat it but to be real.  Last year I had a full time job & a part-time job. Took a year off of Entrepreneurship to dedicate myself to education and to be coached.  There is a lot to learn in this profession and my previous failed MLM company was a great lesson for me to learn from. I do not regret it, it was an experience I needed to learn from and I am a better and wiser  professional because of it.  What I know, I pass it on.

Working full time gave me the awareness that this is not what I was born to do. I was not content and was over qualified for the position…I worked with younger people who made more money than me. I sold myself short. I was worth more money $$$ than what I was getting paid. I accepted the job because I need additional income to my part time job as work was pretty slow & perhaps I can get benefits (medical, dental and vision) through my full time job.

God already knew how dissatisfied I was but I was hanging in there.. things happened which gave me signs that I needed to leave this job such as an electrical shutdown (the light’s went out!) Our cubicals went pitch dark and thank goodness for the skylights which brought light in the company. This happened often and I was sent home which means no pay. I don’t know about you but, I took this as a sign! I didn’t have anything in common with my co-workers. gossiping about what happened in “basketball wives” to what other people did or are wearing in another cubical was the least of my concern. I found it ghetto to talk about others!

Although it was very very  corporate,  didn’t like anything about the job, but I didn’t complain… needed to pay my bills and I was well aware of everything happening @ work from favoritism to politics.  Prayed and said God, do what you want. Months later I get laid off for punching in late more than 3 times. It had to be precisely the exact time 8:00 a.m not one minute early or late and if you arrived early you had to wait till the clock turns 8:00 a.m. What a joke! Next thing you know we will be robots HA!  Thank God pulled me out and was satisfied for getting laid off after all I still had the part-time job even if work was slow.

Ever, since then I have been working my part time job &  love it because it’s not a regular type of job! Since it’s a 24 hour operation you can work mornings, nights or hoot hoot nights (3-8 a.m.) and have the flexibility to take long lunches. I needed to get used to this because I am used to having 1/2 hour to 1 hour lunches and here we take 2 hour lunches or 3 depending what type of work your doing. You do have a boss but your pretty much on your own as you are called for leadership skills. Your making decisions, leading, protecting and although it’s an 8 hour shift you sometimes get to work only 6 hours and get paid for all 8 hours which is a bonus. Just depends what type of work you are doing.

Am I Greatful? Yes!  My intention is not to make this job a priority. It is  to have money to fund my business.  I realized I do not need a full time job and a part time job. By having a full time job I am pretty much saying I have no intention of being an Entrepreneur but a worker. For those that are starting a new business it’s not wise to quit your job unless you have a supporting wife or spouse that bring in enough money for you to build your business. It takes money, to make money. Events, coaching, self-development, travels, meetings etc…. 🙂  It was a blessing that I got laid off and just kept my part-time job where I have tons of flexibility just like a freelancer! If  needed to go to an event for my business or travel the world I can do it without asking for permission and wait to get rejected for whatever xyz reason…

Now, that I am part time and organized by keeping a money journal my focus is on my business. This freedom is more like it. Nothing holding me back.  No kids, no hubby just Me! 🙂  I’m single ready to mingle! (funny cliché)

So, today I am GREATFUL! for having a part time job that pays well in which God has called me to be at, even if it’s just to  have extra money to grow my business. Will not be looking for a full time job. That is not the path I am taking and right now there is a lack of jobs so if you have a job your blessed! I am giving myself at least 6 months to be able to go full time on my new business but having this part time job is like a hobby. Not as easy as a hobby… well at times 🙂 but no restrictions whatsoever.

My advice is don’t quit your job till you are making more money than your current job! Many people quit their job and then you need extra money for special projects. The worst thing that can happen is you might encounter many opportunities to network or travel to another city, state or country (in my case) & not have the money to do it.

This is my gratitude blog in which I share the freedom of not working full time but being humble with what I have. It’s my stepping stone to my Think BIG goal which is having the FREEDOM to do as I please, go where I want, create my new lifestyle and be a Philantropist  because I CAN 🙂
